Beginner Knitting

Join the ranks of the knitters! This course is for people who have a minimal knitting knowledge or no previous knowledge of knitting.

You will learn to cast on stitches, knit stitch, purl stitch, casting off, counting rows, measuring work, 3 needle cast.off, increasing, decreasing, stitch recognition in simple pattern; basket, ribbing and seed stitch, reading and understanding patterns. At the end of the course you will be able to make a simple garment from a pattern.

This is a Six Week Course, 2 hours per week. Cost $95.00

This is a class for beginners who know how to knit and purl and need to move on to the next stage. The students select and work their own project at their own speed, and the instructor is there to help, encourage, and facilitate the work.

Intermediate Knitting

To participate in this course, you must have basic knitting skills as described in the beginners course outline. If you've got basic knitting skills and are ready for the next step or if you want to refresh your skills, this is the course for you. Bunny and his wardrobe of sweaters will give you a chance to practice knitting in the round, working with colour grafting, buttonholes and much more.

This class is the perfect stepping stone to a first sweater or for those who want to explore new techniques without taking on a big project!

Felted Clogs

Felting is fun, and felted slippers are extra warm and cozy. These clogs are knit from a tried-and-true pattern that is extremely popular. Beware! You will have many requests for these so begin by making a pair for yourself!

Beginners Lace

Overcome your fear of lace! Learn the basics of lace-knitting by making a lovely Feather and Fan scarf. The scarf is worked in scrumptious fingering weight wool on 3.0 – 3.5 mm needles. This combination of not-too-thin yarn, not-too-small needles, and very easy stitch pattern will ensure a successful first lace project.

This is a four week course, 2 hours per week. Cost $65.00

Never Knit Socks Before?

Learn how to knit those funky new sock yarns. Students will learn to knit on four needles, and turn heels and finish toes. Knitters must have basic knitting skills.
