This kit is an easy knit and a good introduction for first time lace knitters.

This is a basic feather and fan shawl using Estelle Cadenza Yarn. Cadenza by Estelle Yarns in a fine luxury yarn with vivid colours and soft silky feel. It is 80% super wash wool, and 20% Tussah silk. Tussah means "wild", and Tussah silk is wildcrafted, and thus it is naturally organic. Tussah or wild silk worms live naturally in tropical or semi-tropical forests. Their silk is gathered after the moth emerges.

The kit contains the pattern and three skeins of Cadenza yarn. You will also need one pair of 5 mm (US 8) needles. These are not included in the kit but are available from this site. The shawl is available in the colours shown below. The finished size of the shawl is about 21½ inches by 54 inches (55 cm by 138 cm).
