Yarn Forward - Alafoss Lopi

Alafoss Lopi is a bulky weight yarn, knitting 13 or 14 stitches to 10 cm (4 inches) on 5mm (US 8)to 6mm (US 10) needles. The sweaters knit up fast, and are generally knit on circular needles. The best Lopi yarns come from Iceland, where the unique breed of sheep produce a unique wool which has incredible natural colours, and real warmth.

Alafoss Lopi is 100% Icelandic wool. A number of Lopi Patterns are available on this site.

Tension: 13 to 14 stitches to 4 inches (10 cm) on a 6 to 6½ mm (US 10 to 10½) needle.

Washing Instructions: Hand wash only. Use lukewarm water and mild soap or detergent. Dry flat.
